Designers are always trying figure out new solutions and problem solving. This chapter mentioned that ipod was such a genius design. Many people no longer need to carry so many CDs or DVDs with them. We can put thousands of songs and movies on ipod to go and we can access them anytime we want to. We can even run, mow lawn, any activities we want but it was hard to do those activities with bulky CD players. Ipod was genius then I don’t know what to say about Iphone, and Ipad. They are super amazing designs. Cellular phones were made for making calls but not anymore. People can do so many other things other than calling people nowadays. Internet accesses on smart phones allow people to do so many other things on a little phone. There are so many apps; productivity, game, art, cook, magazines, health, medicine, photo editors, etc. What about ipad? That is also amazing but it does not have a camera so they are trying to make new ipad with camera. One leads to other modifying so that more and more intelligent designs can come out. Making things more comfortable, convenient and fast and fast!!! Interaction design and technology is full of big surprises!

Interaction design

It’s so essential to have interaction design especially these days. We don’t know how we functioned without them before. In old times people had to dial to make a call and when people wanted to make international phone calls they had to go through few operators and wait for awhile to talk to someone. Also phone bill was very high. The telephone invented by Alexander Bell was about 135 years ago and over the time technology have been keep on improving. Now we can call international calls so easily. A lot of times it’s free and we can call multiple people and see them all on the screen. All hard work of interaction designs and technology are behind those many years. Interaction designs have become so much more important than ever. Everything that is around us, things that entertain us have to do with technology, electronics. They all require interaction designs. People want interaction designs to be more visually attractive, shiny, fun, multitasking, and useful. I am already amazed with a lot brilliant technology and interactive designs people have done but we as people seem to want more. People are looking for something better, faster, unique and more useful. I don’t think there is going to be an end. People just need to constantly learn about new technology. I often wonder where this technology will end up. Probably there will no end unless this world faces the end.
